In January 2009 the Access to Justice Taskforce was established to undertake a comprehensive examination of the federal civil justice system with a view to developing a more strategic approach to access to justice issues. This report is the result of their examination of access to justice from a system-wide perspective.
Australia’s federal civil justice system encompasses the many institutions and services through which the Commonwealth helps people to resolve civil disputes, and prevent disputes from occurring.
