The Australian Government Legal Service

The Australian Government Legal Service is the formal professional network for all Australian Government lawyers. It supports and develops government lawyers and in-house legal areas enhancing consistency and efficiency across the Australian Public Service.

The AGLS officially launched on 30 April 2021 with a series of videos and updates to the AGLS website.

The AGLS connects more than 2,000 government lawyers working in over 90 entities across Australia. It was established as one of 10 recommendations from the Secretary's Review of Commonwealth Legal Services.
