Report of the Security Legislation Review Committee (SLRC).

The SLRC acknowledges that an appropriate balance must be struck between the need to protect the community from terrorist activity, and the maintenance of fundamental human rights and freedoms. The SLRC is satisfied that, in addition to the general criminal law, separate security legislation is necessary.
