Pacific Legal Policy Champions Program
The Policy Champions Program aims to build the capacity of Pacific law and justice officials and police officers to develop rigorous public policy proposals and enable them to be champions for good policy development practices.
Program participants undertake our Pacific Legal Policy Development Course. They are also trained and supported to deliver the course to their home agency and across government within 3 months of their return home. The intensive program includes discussion on priority policy issues with subject matter experts and government stakeholders from across the Australian Government and academia.
We expect participants to actively engage with our network of Pacific policy alumni and the Pacific Islands Law Officers' Network (PILON). This includes sharing their program experience in Talanoa, the PILON newsletter.
