Australia's Position
The challenging fiscal climate has required the Australian Government to identify savings from all government agencies, including the Commission.
The Australian Government is confident that the Commission is appropriately resourced to undertake its independent statutory functions.
In 2018-19, the Commission's total projected income is $22.319 million, including $16.184 million in funding from the Australian Government. This is an increase of $1.793 million in funding from the Australian Government since the 2017-18 Budget.
