Guidelines on application of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979

These guidelines are for agencies, telecommunications providers and oversight bodies to help them understand and apply the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (TIA Act) regarding telecommunications data. Each guideline should be read together with the relevant provisions of the TIA Act. The guidelines are not legislative instruments, and they are not a substitute for legal or other professional advice.
