Provisional Transparency Notice issued in relation to the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC) Incorporated.

On 9 January 2023, the Secretary of the Attorney-General's Department issued a provisional transparency notice declaring the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC) to be a foreign government related entity for the purposes of the Foreign Influence Transparency Scheme Act 2018 (the FITS Act). Pursuant to subsection 14C(4) of the FITS Act, the provisional transparency notice became a final transparency notice on 6 February 2023.

A person whose interests are affected by the decision to issue the provisional transparency notice under subsection 14B(1) of the FITS Act may, subject to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975, apply to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for review of the decision (see section 14H of the FITS Act).
