The Model Criminal Code was prepared by the Model Criminal Code Officers Committee (later, the Model Criminal Law Officers Committee) of the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General. This Committee was made up of an officer from each Australian jurisdiction with expertise in criminal law and criminal justice matters. The Attorney-General’s Department has made available the Committee’s chapters and Model Code. These do not represent the views of the Attorney-General.
