Notes
Australia's Position

The Department of Home Affairs has a strong training and education programme for all staff. International Obligations training is provided to officers in visa compliance and detention roles. Additionally, where relevant, staff receive training on refugee law, complementary protection and Australia's non refoulement obligations. Training is regularly reviewed for currency and is provided when staff initially commence in the relevant roles, or as refresher training.
