Australia's Response
Notes (will not consider further at this time)
Australia's Position
The Australian Government has considered the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and is not intending to become a party at this time.
Australia already has international human rights obligations prohibiting conduct covering enforced disappearance and provides protection against enforced disappearances in its criminal law.
